Join us for a day
Whale shark season in Nosy Be runs from September to December, the best time to see them is in October and November. You can join us for a day in the water to swim with whale sharks and learn more about our research, as our team goes out daily with clients. Contact Les Baleines Rand’eau directly either by email or phone ahead of time as it is the busy season.
Join an organised trip
Project Co-supervisor and whale shark expert Dr. Simon Pierce

Project leader Stella Diamant will be hosting the project’s first expedition in November 2019 with Natural World Safaris. *** We are fully booked for this year ***
Our field team delivers regular presentations about whale shark ecology and research during the season.
You can also request Stella’s presence for presentations at institutions or universities, especially from January to August – feel free to contact her here.
